AC Milan defender Matteo Gabbia admitted the second goal conceded against Fiorentina was a stupid goal that could not be accepted.

AC Milan made a number of mistakes at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, missing two penalties from Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham before Christian Pulisic equalised, only to concede a late goal.

Fiorentina got an incredible goal in a three-step play. David De Gea swung a long free kick from near his own penalty area, the ball went over Fikayo Tomori and into the far corner of the box, where Moise Kean chested it down and Albert Gudmundsson quickly fired home from just outside the box.

“We were not happy with the way we played,” Gabbia told Ufabet. “We’re felt that this defeat was our own fault. We did not perform at our best tonight.”

“I think the whole defence made a mistake with the second goal,”

“It was a set piece (free kick) from the front of the goal. We knew De Gea kicked it very far but we misjudged it. I could have been more ยูฟ่าเบท aggressive. There were a lot of things we could have done differently. It hurts because it’s an unacceptable goal.”

“The team was never on the wrong track. We definitely need to do better. Those who stay at Milanello must work hard, and those who go to the national team must return at their best. We need to approach the upcoming matches as a team.”

On the call-up for the Italy national team, Gabbia said:

“It’s a great satisfaction, the call-up comes at a time when I’m having continuity at Milan. My focus is always on Milan, but if the call from the national team comes, which is also very important, all the better.”
